The Stuart-Trembleur-Takla Lake boating system is located in north central British Columbia and comprises nearly 300 km of waterway. These long, narrow lakes are among the region's most significant recreational features.
The lakes offer great sports fishing opportunities for rainbow and lake trout, burbot, kokanee, and mountain whitefish. The chain is also part of the longest migration route of chinook and sockeye salmon in British Columbia. With more than 630 km of lakeshore to explore, few developed facilities, and sparse levels of use, this chain of lakes provides a remote wilderness experience.

There are 6 group campsites at this park, located across the highway from Sproat Lake. A trail to the lake and beach leads through a highway underpass and takes approximately 10 minutes. These group sites are reservable.
This pleasantly wooded park has undeveloped beaches and two day-use areas – one on the shores of Sproat Lake at the end of the trail from the campground and the other at Camp 10, located ½ km west of the group campground parking lot down Hwy #4. A short trail from the Camp 10 parking lot also leads to the lake.

Access to the park is by boat only. There are no developed facilities at the park, although random camping is allowed. An unmaintained trail leads to Florence Lake, ideal for peaceful swimming, fishing and paddling.

Ts’yl-os (pronounced "sigh-loss") Provincial Park comprises approximately 233,000 hectares of rugged mountains, clear blue lakes, glaciers, alpine meadows, and waterfalls. It is bordered by the rugged peaks of the Coast Mountains to the west, and the dry Interior Plateau to the east. The diversity and contrast in landscapes and vegetation are a result of a rainshadow effect on the east side of the mountains. While the northern and eastern portions of the park are relatively dry, the south end of Chilko Lake is characterized by moist areas of the coastal western hemlock zone.
Ts'yl-os Provincial Park
Kayaking
Chilko Lake is the dominant feature of the park, and offers visitors an exceptional outdoor experience. Boating and kayaking are popular pursuits. However, this lake should only be navigated by experienced boaters. Canoeing is not recommended. Due to its size, unpredictable winds, and mountainous shores, Chilko Lake is often disrupted by dangerous waves. Furthermore, water temperatures stay very cold all year, and the lakeshore offers few safe landing places.
Facility development at Chilko Lake includes a concrete boat launch for trailered boats at Gwa Da Ts’ih, and a natural launch, suitable for cartop boats, at Nu Chu Beniz. Park visitors should be aware that Chilko Lake supports multiple recreational uses. Boaters should always exercise caution to ensure the safety of all users. Motorized craft are not permitted on the lagoons. These areas are open to paddle boats only.
Fishing
Chilko Lake provides high-quality angling opportunities, and is one of the leading large-lake fishery resources in the Cariboo Chilcotin. The lake has long been recognized as a producer of bull-trout and rainbow trout, and has gained recognition for its spectacular scenery and high catch success of native sport fish.
