This beachside accommodation is located across the road from Chesterman's Beach, a beautiful three kilometer stretch of sand facing southwest to the open ocean. The house features three large bedrooms, all with queen beds and down duvets, two and a half bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, fire place, VCR and stereo in living room as well as a large assortment of reading materials.
A hot tub and outdoor barbecue complete the large wraparound porch for both comfort and culinary needs. Rinse tubs and surfboard racks are available to accommodate equipment needs. Onsite caretaker/hostess in studio.

On the sunny southern tip of Cortés Island, this renowned retreat and learning centre borders British Columbia's magnificent coastal wilderness. In a nurturing atmosphere of handcrafted wooden buildings, organic gardens, and forest trails, Hollyhock offers a variety of ways to refresh and renew yourself. Cortés is accessible by ferry from Quadra. From the Cortes ferry landing follow the signs to Smelt Bay and Hollyhock. The road is winding and you must make several turns - do not go to Squirrel Cove. The road to Hollyhock is on the left (Highfield Rd.), about 18 kilometers (11 miles), from the ferry and it is well marked. Total travel time from Vancouver is about seven hours and from Seattle about ten hours. Vegetarian breakfast or lunch $12, dinner $18 + GST.

Homathko River – Tatlayoko Protected Area comprises 17,575 hectares of diverse landscape, incorporating low elevation coastal rainforests and wetlands.
The Homathko River-Tatlayoko Protected Area is a spectacular wilderness area, but is remote and access is difficult. There are no trails or roads within the Protected Area. Tatlayoko Lake is accessible by boat, and there is a road and a forestry recreation site along the eastern shore of the lake. There are boating opportunities on Tatlayoko Lake, and consistent afternoon thermal winds also create good windsurfing conditions. The Homathko River is considered too dangerous for canoeists, kayakers, or rafters.
Wild, indigenous bull trout are found in Mosley Creek, Dumbell Lake and the Homathko River. Dolly varden and rainbow trout are also abundant.

This park offers a popular 23 site campground and day-use area which has a developed beach, a horseshoe pit and a nature trail. Some activities offered include hiking, exploring and fishing. This is a large, deep lake and is usually fished on a troll – included are a number of smaller lakes excellent for fly-fishing. Fishing for rainbow trout is a favourite pastime of many visitors. Fir, spruce, birch and cedar clothe the slopes along the lower reaches of Dillabough Creek at the west end of Horsefly Lake - a semi-wilderness water body penetrating the Quesnel Highlands. There are old growth cedars and Douglas firs throughout the park. There are two unnamed lakes in the park, once the site of a hatchery operated to restore the run of sockeye to the Horsefly River.
